Lake Holcombe Activities Director, Todd Senoraske, was invited to speak at the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association (WADA) conference this year. Mr. Senoraske spoke on the topic of student-athlete leadership programming; while representing Lake Holcombe at the state conference. He also brought some student-athletes (virtually) with him to present as well. WADA offers a myriad of professional development; as well as collaboration among all athletic directors within the state.

CVTC VISIT: Lake Holcombe students took tours of the programs offered at CVTC. Some of the programs we toured were in the medical field, transportation, manufacturing, education and technology. The trip sparked some interest for some students, while others firmed up their plans for post-secondary options.

Did you know one out of every twenty preschoolers and one out of every four school age children has a vision problem that needs the attention of an eye care professional? Vision problems can negatively impact a child's performance at school (difficulty seeing things far away or close up, headaches, difficulty paying attention, etc.). Lake Holcombe School honored veterans today with a Veteran's Day program. The featured speaker was Wisconsin Army National Guard Sergeant Nick Kostka. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the kindergarten class and music performed by the MS/HS choir & HS band. Thank you to Veterans for their service to our country. 💗🤍💙

The high school advisory team has some big goals for the school year. The students themselves brainstormed things they want to work on and are now putting into action some of the things they came up with. Yesterday, the “nutrition subcommittee” of the advisory team met with Mrs. Linskey to collaborate on ideas for food options in school. Other themes the team has chosen to focus on include: kindness, belonging, substance use and mental health. Stay tuned for our new kindness E-wall and a fun speaker for all students 4K-12!
