🏀 The Journey of a Basketball Official: Ways to Get Started and Improve! 🏀
Are you looking to break into officiating or elevating your game on the court?
Attending an Officials Clinic is a great way to kickstart your journey or sharpen your skills alongside experienced high school varsity and collegiate refs!
Organized by Officials Journey in partnership with the Arrowhead Officials Association and CrownRefs:
📅 When: Saturday, November 14th
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sections 1 & 2)
💻 Online Session: All participants will have an online class on Sunday, November 9th in the evening.
📍 Where: Lake Holcombe High School (in conjunction with a MS boys’ tournament)
Sections Available:
🟢 Section 1: New to Officiating
o Focus: Getting started with 8th Grade Boys Competition.
o Cost: $10 (FREE for High School Students!)
🟡 Section 2: Advanced Mechanics & Scheduling
o Focus: Learn 3-person mechanics & improve your game schedule (8th Grade Boys Competition).
o Cost: $15

• Classroom instruction
• On-court training
• Officiating at least 2 games with direct feedback from experienced clinicians

All community focus groups and surveys are facilitated by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA), an independent search firm supporting the Board. HYA facilitators are not Lake Holcombe staff and are leading this work to ensure a neutral, inclusive, and community-centered process.
Additional staff and student focus groups will also take place as part of the superintendent search.
Community input is an important part of identifying Lake Holcombe's next superintendent. Thank you in advance to all who share their thoughtful input and feedback to support this process.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the School District of Lake Holcombe that the Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing of said school district for the transaction of school district business will be held in the Elementary IMC of the Lake Holcombe School on the 26th day of October, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
