Are you in the 6th-12th grade and ready to join in on all of the fun?! Come check out the Lake Holcombe Archery Team! There will be a brief get together with your coaches during homeroom on Tuesday, November 14th. 🗓️ Also there will be a get to know us and the sport during a mandatory parent meeting on November 14 at 6PM! It will be held in the commons. Come ask any questions you may have and learn about this very unique sport. There are a lot of really exciting and new opportunities coming! Huge shoutout to Mike Prasher from the DPI who came to talk with Seniors and their families about financial aid options for college. The FAFSA looks all different this next year, so there was a lot to learn! And congratulations goes out to Mike as he retires in two weeks! It was a successful night learning about funding options for after high school!

Seniors and parents/guardians of seniors! Don't forget! This week, Wednesday night (November 8th) at 6pm, is your financial aid meeting. Scholarships and financial aid are the main topic of dicussion. Please attend if you plan to apply for financial assistance after high school.

For the month of November, we are excited to highlight another new staff member to our team, Talia Giarrusso. Talia is the school counseling office intern this semester; she has worked in both the daycare and after school setting in the past and is currently a senior at UWEC. Talia is from Marshfield originally and comes to us from Menomonie now. We asked Talia to answer a few questions about herself below. It was so pretty! I drove along the coast, and it was really cool seeing the way the houses were built compared to here. The food was amazing! I ate a lot of lobster. November 2023 breakfast & lunch menus.

The sixth graders made clay pumpkins by forming a pinch pot first to keep the pumpkin hollow. The pumpkins were bisque fired, glazed and fired again. The high school students created a mug using a slab of clay. Details were attached using slip. The mugs were bisque fired and glazed using crystal glazes and regular gloss glazes.

We've been busy this fall making sure that our students are as healthy as they can be! This week included vision screening organized by our school nurse with the assistance from members of the Lake Holcombe Lion's Club.

The School District of Lake Holcombe has the following coaching position open for the 2023-24 school year: Archery Coach Individual must have National Archery in the Schools Certification or willing to obtain certification. School Resource Officer Jim was the surprise guest Monday night at the fall concert. Thank you officer Jim for all you do for our students.

Final Fall Athletes of the Week! Lexi Hoffner comes to practice everyday with a great attitude and works really hard. She made significant progress throughout the season and proves to be a huge asset to the team. We look forward to Lexi’s leadership moving forward. Keep it up, Lexi! Connor Kane has been selected as student athlete of the week because he has a good attitude and works hard at practice. He comes to practices and games with a good attitude. Connor demonstrates that by having a good attitude, working hard and being coachable, you will improve. He did every week. Keep it up, Connor!
