Athletes of the Week! Emmy Kirkman and Connor Kane Emmy finished last week with solid stats! She led the team with the highest kill percentage, scored kills and tied the team high for blocks. Even more important has been Emmy’s attitude and leadership on the court during games and practices. Emmy doesn’t stop communicating during matches and is great about giving her teammates encouragement or celebrating their accomplishments. Keep it up, Emmy! Connor has been stepping up as a leader on the football team. You can tell it is important to him to work hard and compete. He does his job on the field in order to not let his teammates down. Connor also scored the first touchdown of the year for the Chieftain. Keep it up, Connor!

Our students had an amazing hands-on experience learning about early human innovation. They ventured into the school forest to collect rocks and sticks, then used twine to construct their very own Paleolithic-style hammers! Each group tested their creations by hammering nails into wood, competing to see whose hammer was the most effective. It was a great way to bring history to life, fostering teamwork and problem-solving while having some fun. We’re so proud of their creativity and effort! Congratulations to Brody Miller, Logan Readinger, and Trevor Tripp for having the most successful hammer in the school. Nice job Guys! 🔨
