Chippewa Yellow Bus Company Inc. and the Lake Holcombe school bus division after 118 years of service to Wisconsin communities has decided it is time to retire. With no heirs inline to take over the school bus business they have made the difficult decision to turn over the reins. GO Riteway Transportation Group is pleased to be the future owner of the Chippewa Yellow Bus/Lake Holcombe Bus. They are a Wisconsin family owned and operated company that has provided school transportation service for 67 years with strong ties in the communities that they serve. They currently serve some 45 school districts throughout Wisconsin. Lake Holcombe school district will not see any change in service or personnel. Shelly Lee will still be the face and voice of our local bus service. The family members at Chippewa Yellow Bus will remain with the new company for a period to assure a smooth transition. The Lake Holcombe facility will remain in the same location. All drivers, phone numbers and addresses will remain the same. The planned date for the transition is on or around November 1 2024. We look forward to working with another professionally run organization who has a goal of expanding their scope of business in northern Wisconsin. Welcome GO Riteway!

Lake Holcombe school welcomes our school families and community members to our Back to School Open House on Wednesday, August 28th, from 4pm to 7pm. This is a great time to meet teachers, check out the building, talk to community partners, and have a light dinner. We hope to see you there!
