Athletes of the Week
Leyla Beaudin and Brian Strzok
Recently, Leyla was tasked to guard an opposing team’s strongest player. Leyla stepped up to the challenge and held the “top tier” opponent to only a handful of points in the second half of the game. Her relentless effort and teamwork sparks momentum shifts which helps the team push through the second half. Leyla made a huge defensive impact against Luck. Keep it up!
Brian has led through example since the beginning of the season. He displays strong leadership on the court through hustle and effort. This is especially critical when the team is behind on the scoreboard; Brian still plays hard and pushes his teammates to do the same. Keep it up!

Some of our high school guitar students led carols for elementary students today. Tomorrow, they will lead another round of carols as well!
During the month of November, students learned about and practiced the character trait of being THANKFUL. these students were selected for exhibiting thankfulness during the month. Way to Go! 💜🤍

More Lifting Milestones: Alex Curtis was recently added to the 500 lbs Club. And it didn't take long for Ransom Cwitkla to move into the 800 lbs Club. Great work!
Good Morning Chieftain Families! Is it officially winter in Wisconsin and with that being said, temperature's are dropping. Elementary students do go outside for 2 recesses. Please make sure your child has adequate clothing for the weather. They go outside except when it's raining or below 0. Thank you for your cooperation and stay warm!❄️

Lake Holcombe Invites Strength!
Recently, Ransom Cwikla joined us at Lake Holcombe. Since coming here, he has started lifting and putting up big numbers right away. Ransom blew right through the 500lbs and 600lbs club and secured a spot in the 700lbs club (770 lbs max). Great work, Ransom and welcome to Lake Holcombe!

Mrs. Meddaugh's Modern Media class is learning about making How-To Videos. They evaluated several and learned the skill of tying a tie as a part of that unit!
🎯 The Lake Holcombe Archery Team had a fantastic time playing a fun Thanksgiving game during practice! We set up targets for six sides: mashed potatoes, cranberries, gravy, green beans, sweet potato pie, and a dinner roll. There was also a burnt turkey target. Each archer had to shoot all six sides without hitting the burnt turkey. If they hit the burnt turkey, they had to start over with getting their sides. Once they hit all six sides, they advanced to the 3-D turkey and had to get a bullseye to win the game.
We had three archers who hit the bullseye on the turkey, so we had a distance shoot-off to determine the winner. Congratulations, MacKenzie!
This game is helping us to get ready for a great season ahead! First, it improves accuracy and precision because archers have to aim for specific targets. Second, it enhances focus and concentration as they need to avoid hitting the burnt turkey and restart if they do. Third, it encourages quick decision-making and adaptability since they have to adjust their aim based on previous shots. Finally, it promotes a fun and engaging practice environment, which can boost motivation and teamwork.
🦃Thanksgiving break is November 25th to the 29th. School resumes on Monday, December 2nd. Have a safe and happy holiday. 💜🤍
