School District of Lake Holcombe

October 2023 Staff Spotlight

Raven Crabb

For the month of October, we are excited to highlight another new staff member to our team, Raven Crabb. Raven is a paraprofessional here in our elementary school; she has worked in both the daycare and public school setting in the past. Raven went to school in Gilman. We asked Raven to answer a few questions about herself below. Her fun-loving personality sure shines here in Lake Holcombe!

  • What three traits define you? - Organized, Caring & Hardworking.

  • What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? -  My Phone!

  • What is the greatest challenge you have had to overcome in your life thus far? - Moving out at such a young age and learning how to manage everything it comes with to make it this far!

  • What is your favorite thing to do? - Spend time with my family!

  • Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why? - Even though it's in Wi, I’d have to say Green Bay. I went there on a “vacation” and did so much! I  got to explore a variety of places/shops, stores and restaurants! (Of course Lambeau Field was a stop, GO PACK GO!)

  • What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? - An Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor

  • What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13? - Everything will turn out just how you want it to, give yourself time and don’t rush the growing up process!

  • How do you define success? - The ability to reach the goals I have in my life, no matter how hard it'll be!

  • Tell us something that might surprise us about you. - Growing up, I always wanted to be an Agriculture Teacher & FFA Advisor! I was very very involved in my FFA chapter & Ag department throughout middle & high school. 5 of those years I even served on the officer team and got my state degree (highest degree held within the state) my senior year! It was/still is something I'm very passionate about and will forever support/advocate for!

  • From a really young age I always knew working with children was something I wanted to do. Starting in a childcare center, I really had know idea what I was walking into, I  just knew I wanted to make a difference in children’s everyday lives and watch them learn new things. While working at the daycare, I had the opportunity to take courses, become CPR certified, do monthly lesson plans, do arts and crafts with the children, and most importantly got to love and care for them!
