Lake Holcombe School District

In April of 2022, the District will ask voters to approve a non-recurring referendum for $875,000 per year for three years.  The new referendum will replace the current referendum that will expire in June. The projected mill rate is expected to DECLINE even with the referendum.

What is the referendum question?

"Shall the School District of Lake Holcombe, Chippewa and Rusk Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $875,000 per year beginning with the 2022-2023 school year and ending with the 2024-2025 school year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of operational and maintenance expenses of the District?"

What is the projected mill rate?

Projected mill rate assumes an estimated 1% increase in the property value each year.

What will it cost?

Projected annual school property taxes are expected to DECREASE even with the referendum.
