January is a good time to review with your son or daughter the importance of stress free mornings. The following are some tips to help you review with your student:
Middle and high school basketball seasons are in full swing. This is a busy time of year for student athletes. The following are some good reminders of how we all can be supportive of the Lake Holcombe student athletes. Our coaches and athletes need your positive support and encouragement.
Support Our Student Athletes-Help our student athletes achieve skill improvement and good sportsmanship in every game.
Always Be Positive-While we are not participants on student athletes teams we all contribute to the success experienced by students and their teams.
Be Enthusiastic and Supportive-Let student athletes set their own goals and play the game for themselves.
Please support and follow the direction of event workers and the COVID safety procedures in place by the Lakeland Conference.
Reinforce Positive Behavior-The best way to help student athletes achieve goals and reduce the natural fear of failure is through positive reinforcement.
Let Coaches Coach and Refs Ref-Coaches and referees volunteer their time to help make our student athletes successful. Treat them and their calls fairly and respectfully.
Thank you for your continued support of the students of the Lake Holcombe School District!
