Smaller rural districts in Wisconsin schools achieve every day. Just like the one in your own back yard in Lake Holcombe. Not just in the lives of our young people but as a life-giving benefactor to the wider, rural community. Smaller rural school districts are the heart of public education in Wisconsin. Small schools have energy and very personal formation. Such schools afford young people a wonderful opportunity to achieve the best possible standard of education. Such places not only provide their primary function but provide people with an opportunity to interact, engage and build a community. Often, smaller schools facilitate local meetings and community events. They are the hub of activity in Northern Wisconsin.
The mere noise of activity and play of a vibrant, small school can offer hope and company to the larger school community who live nearby. Education is key to building a successful future for the lives of our young people. It is evident that the people of the Lake Holcombe School District are proud of their school district and place a high value on this great community resource and investment.
